About Setu
What Setu is
Setu is an independent project that consolidates publicly-registered clinical trials in India to help patients and doctors find relevant studies.
Instead of checking multiple registries one at a time, patients, families, and clinicians can search and filter a single consolidated list of trials recruiting in India — by condition, location, phase, sponsor, and more.
Setu is informational only. It does not provide medical advice, and it does not recruit or advertise on behalf of any trial — see our Disclaimer & Privacy page for the full detail.
Why it exists
Clinical trials in India are registered across multiple public sources, in inconsistent formats, with no single place to search them by what actually matters to a patient — condition, location, and whether it's still recruiting. That makes trials genuinely hard to discover, even for people actively looking. Setubrings that scattered public data together in one searchable place — the name means "bridge."
What's real today, and what's a preview
Browse/Explore and Find a Trial search real, currently-recruiting trials from public registries. The match strength shown on Find a Trial is an illustrative preview, not a real eligibility determination. Hospital Desk and CRO Console are product demonstrations with sample data, showing what a future hospital and sponsor product could look like — they are not live services. Every demonstration page says so clearly.

How the data is sourced
Trial data is aggregated from ClinicalTrials.gov and CTRI (the Clinical Trials Registry - India, via the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform), and refreshed periodically. It is informational only — recruiting status and eligibility for any specific trial should always be verified directly with the trial site.
